At this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos, Sevi Simavi, CEO of the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, and Jill Huntley, Managing Director—Corporate Citizenship at Accenture, talk about how we are working together to empower women in Rwanda and how technology can help women gain access to banking, loans —and ultimately, financial independence.

With the support of Accenture, the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women launched its Skilling for Change project in partnership with CARE International in 2014. At the last count, 18 months into the two-year project, over 14,000 women had received financial literacy and investment readiness training and 2000 women had started a new business, creating over 1,500 new jobs.
