Fostering Young Israeli Women Entrepreneurs

An academic programme designed to open social and economic opportunities for 22 young and talented women

Developing the entrepreneurial capacity of women in Israel

Developing entrepreneurial capacity and strengthening Jewish-Arab relations

The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women, in partnership with Western Galilee College, is supporting 22 Arab and Jewish women for three years on a unique higher education program which provides tutoring, workplace training and business development opportunities.  The interdisciplinary BA in Economics and Management gives these young women the confidence and skills needed to become successful entrepreneurs and strengthens the network of Jewish and Arab women in the process.

Fostering future role models and community leaders

The women who graduate from the three year course have the potential to be role models and community leaders.  They will have the ability to share their knowledge and contribute to the economic development of the region by developing business initiatives and creating new work places.

Providing practical experience and networks

The young women will be provided with networking opportunities outside of their academic setting. They will benefit from practical work experience in which to apply their newfound business knowledge and expertise.  They will also be paired with successful businesswomen around the world to enhance learning and commercial possibilities.
